Technical Sergeant Earl Armstrong serves at DISA Central Field Command as the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of Systems Support and Mobility while also holding the recently appointed position of Cybersecurity Watch Officer. His role involves supervising a regional provisioning center that ensures connectivity between U.S. Central Command and 11 mission partners, focusing on maintaining global mobile capabilities. As a Cybersecurity Watch Officer, Armstrong plays a crucial role in DISA’s Cyber Defense efforts, staying vigilant about cybersecurity threats across the DOD’s global infrastructure.
Originally from Queens, New York, Armstrong enlisted in the United States Air Force in May 2014. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in various roles, including Cyber Surety Technician, Local Registration Authority, System Administrator, and National Security Agency PKI Agent. Prior to his current assignment, Armstrong served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of Combat Crew Communications for the 15th Operations Support Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
Among his awards and decorations, Technical Sergeant Armstrong has received the Air and Space Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Air and Space Overseas Service Ribbon. His career reflects dedication to technical and operational support, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and mission readiness.
