Shandi Perkins
2nd Vice President
Shandi Perkins, a US Army Veteran, served as an Intelligence Collector (HUMINTOR) in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, conducting Military Source Operations (MSO). Transitioning to civilian life, she began her first contracting role, joining the Tampa Bay community to support a US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Research and Development (R&D) program in Tampa, Florida. Over the past 13 years, she has held diverse positions within the Department of Defense (DoD), from operational roles and proposal/capture to business development, both in and out of uniform.
With a commitment to serving the military and veteran community, Shandi established Cadence Coalition LLC, a government contracting business specializing in providing the DoD and VA with information technology (IT) and military intelligence support services. Her dedication to delivering top-notch support drives her and her team’s efforts.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Shandi volunteers with the AFCEA Central Florida chapter and AFCEA International. Within AFCEA International, she holds the Women in AFCEA Mentorship Lead role, coordinating speaking engagements and local events. These platforms facilitate networking opportunities for veterans, military personnel, government officials, and industry experts. Additionally, Shandi leads the mentorship program, offering guidance and support to mentees navigating both DoD processes and personal development journeys.
