Lavar McDowell

Lavar McDowell is a DoD Industry Professional with over 20 years of directly supporting mission-critical Information Technology and Command and Control operations in the Department of Defense (DoD), US Army, Defense Intelligence Agency, and various Combatant Commands. Lavar is a current Army Signal Reservist serving as the Joint Operations Center (JOC) Senior Operations NCO in the USEUCOM J3 Mission Command Center in Stuttgart, Germany.
Lavar has supported DoD in various industry roles, including Network and Systems Engineer, Senior C4 Systems Engineer, and Lead Project Manager. In his current position, Lavar is a Strategic Business Development Executive for Tyto Athene, leading business development and capture efforts in the Army, COCOM, and DISA portfolios.
Lavar has been part of the Central Florida AFCEA Chapter since 2019 and is the Chairman for Emerging Leaders. Lavar is passionate about engaging and mentoring the next generation of leaders in the military, industry, government, and academia.
