Courtney R. Powell founded AceApplications, LLC as a provider of top-tier technology solutions, including software, web and mobile application development, and IT consulting and staffing services to businesses, schools, and public and government agencies.
In 2010, Courtney was selected as one of “Orlando’s Top 40 Business Executives Under the Age of 40” by the Orlando Business Journal. He also played an integral role in AceApplications, earning the “Emerging Business of the Year Eagle Award” from the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida in 2009.
In 2019, he was recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as the “North Florida District and State of Florida Minority-Owned Small Business Person of the Year.” In 2022, AceApplications was recognized as one of the top 50 Florida Companies to Watch by GrowFL. And in 2023, AceApplications was ranked #4 on the Gator 100 list of fastest growing businesses worldwide, led or owned by University of Florida Gators.
Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
In addition to his professional career, he serves in several industry and community organizations, including as an AFCEA executive committee member, Tech Sassy Girls board member, and marketing chair for the City of Orlando Mayor’s MLK Commission.
