COL Brian Kadet

Colonel Kadet currently serves as the USSOCOM J63, C4 Chief of Operations. He began his military career in 1986, enlisting in the Army as an infantryman and serving at Ft. Myer, VA, in the 3rd U.S. Infantry. During this time, he participated in numerous full-honor funerals and joint ceremonies, including the January 1989 Presidential Inauguration Day Parade for President George H. W. Bush.
Colonel Kadet graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Kent State University in Ohio in 1995. He has held various positions throughout his career, including Signal Detachment Leader, Platoon Leader, and Aide-de-Camp in the Republic of Korea. He also served as Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion S-4, and Assistant Brigade S-2 at Fort Gordon, GA.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom, Colonel Kadet was the S6 for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd U.S. Infantry Division. He later served as the S6 for Task Force 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment during Operation Enduring Freedom and as the J6 for Special Operations Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve.
Additionally, Colonel Kadet has served as the J3 Director of Operations and staff advisor to the Commander at the White House Communications Agency. He holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and a Master of Military Arts and Sciences degree from the Air Command and Staff College.
Colonel Kadet’s awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Presidential Service Badge. He is also a recipient of the Signal Corps Bronze Order of Mercury.
